About Tracefox
Tracefox runs the checkout flows you set up for each store on a schedule, in a real browser, and tells you which step failed, with a screenshot of every step. It exists for a simple reason: checkouts break quietly, after a theme update, an app install or a settings change, and the first person to notice is usually a customer who couldn't pay.
Who it's for
Agencies that look after many client stores, and store teams who would rather hear about a broken checkout from a test than from a customer. One workspace holds every store, and a client-ready report shows what was checked and what failed.
What it does
- Replays a checkout flow you record or build: product page, cart, discount, shipping, up to the payment step.
- Runs it on a schedule (weekly, daily or hourly, depending on the plan) or when you press Run.
- When a scheduled check fails quickly, re-runs it once to rule out a blip before alerting you by email (Slack and webhooks on higher plans).
- Also checks that the scripts, pixels and cookie banner you expect are still on the page.
What it deliberately doesn't do
- It doesn't submit payment, so it doesn't prove a payment can be authorized.
- It runs in Chromium. Mobile and tablet are emulated screens, not real devices or Safari.
- Each test runs one viewport; covering desktop and mobile takes two tests.
- Pixel checks confirm a script is present, not that its events fire.
- It isn't SOC 2 certified. How data is handled is on the security page.
We would rather you know the limits before you rely on it than find them after.

Who publishes the guides
Blog posts and guides credited to “Tracefox Team” are published by Tracefox, operated by Hicaso Inc. They aren't attributed to a named expert. A post names a person only when that person wrote or reviewed it.
Each post shows when it was published and, after a substantive revision, when it was last updated. Product details in a post (plans, limits, what a test can check) follow the pricing page; if they differ, the pricing page is current. If you find something wrong or out of date, email support@tracefox.co.
