Cookie Consent Banner Checker

Verify if a website has a recognized Consent Management Platform (CMP) installed.

A banner isn't enough.

Having a cookie banner visible on your site is only step one of GDPR compliance. The critical requirement is that tracking scripts must be blocked from firing until the user explicitly clicks "Accept".

How Tracefox verifies consent:

  • We load the page in a clean, headless browser without prior cookies.
  • We observe network requests before any interaction with the banner.
  • If we see requests to Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics or other marketing trackers at this stage, we flag it: trackers loading before consent is a strong signal of a consent problem, whether or not a banner is shown. This is a technical observation, not a legal assessment, so review findings with whoever owns privacy for the site.
